Getting the word out.

Postby Rusty » Tue Sep 14, 2004 4:53 pm

Well, How do we get the word out about our site? It's in Google, and Yahoo, I think, but way down the list. I have posted on a couple of other forums. I guess another way is word of mouth, So spread the word far and wide :) But really now, we have seen some posts, and some new members, but would like more if anyone has a suggestion PM me, or post it here.

Thanks,

Rusty

getting the word out

It would seem the best way to get people to participate, respond or whatever is to drop the name of the Forum in other engineering or existing petrol head Forums.

There are many Forums & it's just a matter of name dropping, people are inquisitive creatures & they will have a look if they hear the name!

Yeah, google brings it up at number 4 when searching racefab. I jaw flap about it once and a while though to my buddies.

Welcome back!
We do OK on a few search terms, but would like to do better. It's all about the content!

I found this site by chance when researching roll cage design. As there are many parralels that can be drawn between roll cage design and chassis design maybe this could be something that could be focused on. i.e. getting mentioned on roll cage manufacturers websites such as omp or safety devices.

I know some forums can be VERY picky about promoting other websites, so just dropping a name here and there might not yeild very good results and could even get you banned. You could, however, contact the administration of different sites and see about becoming a supporting member or having a permanant ad somewhere on their site. Ya know, something along the lines of setting up a formal contract with other forums that would be equally beneficial to both places. Just a thought.

I have Racefab in my "recommended web forum" section of my car club newsletter for next month. So a few more will hear about this soon.
